RGResourcing associates - CV Hints & Tips

Rather than creating the all professional CV, you should consider this to be a personal document that reflects you as an individual, expressing your personality
Heading - Always include your contact details, address and phone numbers, along with your date of birth, at the top of your CV.
(It is illegal for companies to age discriminate)
Personal Profile - As most employers will not have a lot of time to study CVs you need to grasp their attention immediately. Start your CV with an over view of yourself or a Personal Profile incorporating one or two paragraphs which outlines why a prospective employer should consider you. This can include which of your attributes make you an ideal candidate and why this is a role most suited for you from your previous work experience.
Qualifications/Schooling - Now list your qualifications and courses attended. Only put your GCSE exam results if they are relevant and you have not entered into higher education or undertaken any work based training or qualifications.
Career - Follow this with a Summary of your Career. Starting with your most recent first, you will need to put the company name and your job title followed by the duties encompassed within the position.
This can be in bullet points or more comprehensively put together into sentences as this will give the reader a better understanding.
Hobbies and Interests - Don’t be afraid to include details of your interests outside of work. They help the employer to understand your personality and character and can be talking points at the interview.
